Job description

Reviewer Role: Review appraisers complete reviews on higher risk valuations for both Originations and Default to ensure the report is acceptable for use as provided, or work with the provider to resolve identified potential issues that need to be corrected. This role requires the individual to be an active State licensed appraiser.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

  • Perform desktop valuation reviews on residential properties for both originations and default/servicing.
  • Analyze multiple valuation products using available tools and online resources.
  • When appropriate, research and analyze property information by researching recently sold or currently listed comparable properties.
  • Prepare review report by describing the information analyzed; disclosing extraordinary assumptions, hypothetical conditions invoked, and presenting supportive reasoning for conclusions.
  • Review appraisals to confirm adherence to Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) guidelines where applicable, along with Investor and Citi Residential Valuation Standards and Policies.
  • Concisely document potential quality related concerns in the valuation and work with the AMC/Vendor to resolve the issues.
  • Maintain expected production and quality goals while managing a pipeline of new appraisal reviews and outstanding non-value related conditions to ensure reviews are completed within established SLA's so as not to impact the originations process.
  • Required to complete ongoing appraiser continuing education courses.


Qualifications:

State Real Estate Appraiser Certification required.
3-5 years of appraisal and review experience, with a minimum of 2 years of field experience.
Thorough understanding of appraisal regulations, appraisal standards and secondary market guidelines is required.
Ability to resolve complex valuation problems and communicate results clearly and concisely.
Strong knowledge/skills with Microsoft Office Suite desired

Strong analytical, interpersonal, effective problem solving skills required and must have ability to provide logic behind ideas.
Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize responsibilities required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Possess a results driven attitude committed to producing a superior quality work product.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency
