We're seeking a Procurement Category Manager OEM & Aftermarket Parts who loves a challenge and wants the opportunity to grow with a fast-paced company. Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the sourcing and procurement processes for the category across EquipmentShare
  • Negotiate the best pricing and value for products and services in the most cost-effective and time-efficient manner
  • Oversee and manage the creation of new and renewed vendor relationships and contracts
  • Review product quality and effectiveness for EquipmentShare's needs
  • Guide, mentor & develop team members and vendors to meet business goals and targets
  • Evaluate product vendors and study market trends to identify the best vendor options and predict product availability
  • Assist in the development of standards, processes and best practices for the Procurement department
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate across team's organization-wide to achieve goals and establish transparent procurement processes
  • Review current category services and products to identify areas of price reductions, efficient purchasing, improvements, etc.
  • Build solid vendor relationships for common services across the category
  • Collaborate and work with the organization's management during vendor evaluation and selection, as well as purchase contract negotiations and service level agreements
  • Mine data to drive in depth analysis of category usage and spend.

Skills & Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required
  • Must have at least 10 years of OEM & Aftermarket Parts category management experience
  • Professional certifications preferred e.g., CPSM, CIPS, C.P.M., or evidence of continued professional growth Targeted Competencies
  • Strong project management, communication and leadership skills
  • Solid working knowledge of the complete procurement cycle with a hands-on work style
  • You can negotiate with the best of them, and you're personable and charismatic
  • You should feel confident and comfortable communicating effectively with all levels of leadership within the organization
  • In-depth knowledge of Procurement, Supply Chain and Inventory fundamentals
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to build relationships with key business stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
  • Inner drive to accomplish goals and not deterred by obstacles
  • Capacity to develop innovative strategies and solutions, Creative problem solver
  • Contract negotiation and ongoing management skills
