The Boeing AvionX Hardware Development team is seeking a Senior FPGA Test Engineer to join our team in Hazelwood, Missouri. This is a leadership position where you will lead the technical activities of a small team of test engineers based in the US and India to develop test procedures, software and test scripts to verify the requirements for safety critical avionics by on target testing (OTT).
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads the analysis of system requirements and the development of top level architectural approaches
- Leads development of top level and detailed test procedures based on established requirements and processes
- Leads reviews to assure compliance to requirements and established processes
- Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements and established processes
- Develops technical processes and procedures to guide the day to day work of the technical team
- Leads daily meetings to assign tasks and remove roadblocks for the team
- Develops and maintains partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
- Experience working and leading in a collaborative environment and possess demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skill
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Post start secret clearance is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Bachelors of Science or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 5+ years of experience leading or managing teams
- 5+ years of experience with testing programmable logic on target
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with VHDL and Xilinx FPGA's
- Experience with System Verilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)
- Experience with DO-254, MIL-STD-882E and MIL-HDBK-516C
- 5+ years of experience testing integrated circuit cards
Typical Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
