Commercial Financial Analyst
$85-110k plus bonus
Kansas City, MO (435 & Stateline)
Bell & Associates, Inc has been engaged to recruit our client's next Commercial Financial Analysts. These are two newly created positions due to the growth of the company. These roles will be highly visible with the organization and can open career paths in FP&A or in Commercial Operations. Our client is an international, multi-plant manufacturer who is the leader in their industry.
The Commercial Financial Analyst works with members of the commercial team and FP&A to identify and establish the scope and parameters of requirements on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, metrics, and adherence to company prerequisites.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead ongoing reviews of Quotes & Pre-Purchase Order contract proposals with project sponsors while assisting in developing margin optimization strategies and analysis on a case-by-case basis.
- Analyzes and verifies contract and systems input requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards, assuring compliance with Company Policy and T&Cs. Identify non-compliance issues and develop and implement solutions.
- Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate stage Gate processes within the D365 ERP system by leading ongoing reviews of Stage-Gate processes and engaging stakeholders in updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
- Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develops strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
- Providing financial leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to team members.
- Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
- Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications to gather data requirements to achieve established margin KPI's.
- Build and maintain dashboards and analytical methodologies that proactively track KPIs and metrics to ensure contract success.
- Prepare and present formal reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data to ensure contracts achieve expected results.
- Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicates these back to the business stakeholders.
- Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
- Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements - verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
Preferred qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business or related field or an MBA.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Advanced technical skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Competency in Microsoft applications and ERP environments.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
