Customer Service Representative (Photography Industry)

Job description

H&H Color Lab is a market leader in creative product and business solutions for photographers, partnering with professional photography studios from capture and sales to final delivery of photographic prints and products.

Our customer service team represents the lynchpin in the relationships with our customers, professional photography studios, and the broad variety of products, sales and ordering platforms that H&H offers. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest and background in photography, have a heart for helping people, general technical and analytical skills, and want to work in a small team that serves a large production facility and diverse customer base.

Pay $18.00 - $19.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with existing customers via in and out bound calling, email, chat and some video calls. These interactions range from simple order status and change requests to software training and troubleshooting to general business development as it relates to H&H.
• Ensure timely responses to all inquiries and customer needs with a detailed level of 100% follow-up by the end of each day.
• Effectively articulate complex information and leadership on a variety of technical and non-technical users (i.e. helping people who have basic computer skills and need a lot of hand-holding).
• Educate and empower customers to increase their proficiency and sales of H&H platforms and products via internal customer nurturing strategies.
• Identify areas of usability concerns and escalate them for technical resolution.
• Assist with customer-specific projects as needed.
• All other duties as assigned

General requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• General knowledge of digital photography workflow and concepts (i.e. aspect ratio, color profiles and management, image file formats and resolution)
• General familiarity with professional photography tools such as SLR cameras, PhotoShop and Lightroom
• Prior professional photography experience preferred
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Able to speak and write in English at a level usually acquired through high school education
• Above average time and task management skills, specifically calendar and task list oriented
• Working knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms
