For more information, please visit americancentury.com. The primary responsibilities of the F acilities Engineer are to maintain all aspects of American Century Investments owned properties. You will perform daily operations, repairs and maintenance of the mechanical, plumbing systems, electrical, and general requirements of the facility. You will use your sophisticated skill-set to continue to develop and train new and existing team members. In addition, you will be placed in an on-call rotation and will work overtime as needed. Education and Experience: Required: At least 5 years commercial maintenance experience. Excellent communicator, oral and written. Have and maintain a valid drivers' license. Experience working in a collaborative and team environment. Must be a self-starter and work with little guidance or supervision. Experience with: HVAC systems. Plumbing. Emergency generator systems. UPS systems. Electrical. Troubleshooting. Fire alarm and suppression systems. Building management systems. Lighting maintenance. Lawn irrigation systems. Proficient in MS Office programs. Preferred: Project management. Contractor management. Budget management. Technical training and certifications in maintenance engineering, HVAC, welding, pipefitting or plumbing are beneficial. Working conditions: Standing and walking for long periods of time. Frequent exposure to climbing, reaching, crawling, crouching and other non-sitting, non-standing positions, sometimes at extreme heights. Exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Occasional work with hazardous chemicals. Lifting and moving heavy items. Ability to cover a week of 24 hour call approximately every five weeks.
