Monday - Thurs 5:00am - 3:30pm

Starting pay $18-20/hour

Job Summary:

Shick Esteve is seeking a Fabricator to work in our Sheet Metal department. This position is responsible for performing sheet metal assembly operations that include a variety of complex parts, details, and assemblies. Layout, fabricate, assemble, install, and rework a wide variety of parts and assemblies.


Essential Functions:

· Operate sheet metal equipment such as brakes, rolls and router and use hand tools as required.

· Fabricate special equipment as required.

· Read blueprints for use in welding and fabrication.

· Clamp, hold, tack-weld, manipulate, grind and/or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.

· Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials and notify supervisors.

· Examine work pieces for defects and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance and specifications.

· Keep own work area clean and orderly.

. Requirements:

· Must be dependable, accurate, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic.

· Preferably have 3 years in a manufacturing environment.

· Preferably have experience with roll forms and press breaks and experience with a band saw.

· Experience with CNC laser helpful, but not necessary.

· MIG and TIG weld skills helpful, but not necessary.

· Ability to use a tape measure.

· Basic knowledge of math and geometry.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

· Must have a keen attention to detail in order to produce quality parts.

· Must possess the ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly as well as climb ladders.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
