Commerce Bank is looking for a dynamic, service focused and technically adept individual for our Business Line Systems Analyst (BLSA) role. Essential Functions

  • Collect, analyze, design and document business requirements of moderate to high complexity

  • Formulate and define systems modifications and enhancements based on both user needs and broad knowledge/understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements

  • Manages application testing; develops test plans, test scripts and completes acceptance testing for projects of varying degrees of complexity and system upgrades

  • Coordinate communication on application issues between internal customers and external vendors/IT partners as part of the project implementation

  • Creates and manages implementation plan for production roll out of new products or processes

  • Develop, document and enhance system processes, as appropriate

  • Creates and updates training and administration documentation

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle is preferred

  • Strong customer-service orientation

  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to communicate in user-friendly language to both technical and non-technical end-users

  • Effective in individual contributor or team related role, as appropriate

  • Business travel, as required

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred

  • 2-4 years' experience in a Business Analyst or similar role is preferred
