Your Role:
As the Associate Scientist with MilliporeSigma, you are responsible for the timely and correct manufacture of kit reagents to support immunoassay kits. This includes bead conjugations, buffer exchanges, biotinylations, detections, standards, matrices and buffers within the Immunoassay Platform Solutions group.
- Produce and manufacture Multiplex, ELISA, and RIA kit reagents (involves calculations, measurements, immunological techniques)
- Buffer production
- Multiplex and ELISA standard production
- Ensure lot to lot consistency of each item produced
- Ensure the timely completion of work by working with the team and independently
- Read and follow SOP's and protocols
- Maintain batch records and data from multiple products assigned to manufacture
- Pipetting
- Assist in ensuring equipment / instrumentation is in proper working order, and that appropriate training and documentation is up to date
- Record material and product movement within the ERP system and PMD database
- Promote and comply with all Quality System requirements
- Promote and comply with all Environmental Health and Safety regulations
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Biology or other Life Sciences discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience within a life science manufacturing environment, with scientific knowledge of immunological based biomolecular assays
- Practical knowledge in protein chemistry and formulations
- A strong understanding of immunoassay principals with working knowledge of manufacturing systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Lean Six Sigma familiarity/training and ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Ability to multitask, work on multiple products and product lines within the same day independently
- Ability to independently analyze, summarize and interpret data to present to supervisor/team lead/management
