Overview:

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Communications, answers incoming calls and connects calls to proper departments, patients rooms and medical personnel. Processes in-house calls, and long distance calls. Monitors alarms. Pages physicians and other medical personnel. Dispatches Security and Maintenance Units as appropriate. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Dispatch or telephone answering experience preferred.
  • Required Education: None
  • Preferred Education: High school diploma.
  • Certifications: None
  • Other: Computer skills.
