  • Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

This role is within Commercial Banking's Commercial Real Estate Services Division. Commercial Real Estate Services is specifically accountable for: advising and consulting on all commercial real estate subject matter; the collection, review, analysis and assessment of commercial real estate due diligence; the coordination of the closing of commercial real estate loans with a focus on credit and collateral quality; acting as an expert guidance partner in all commercial real estate construction loans (required in policy for several lines of business); the monitoring of commercial real estate construction draws and progress, and; providing commercial real estate related advice and training to line of business partners. The team works directly with Relationship Managers, MCLs, DPEs and other Wells Fargo team members to understand credit needs and represents the bank in developing and maintaining client relationships.
Individual responsibilities for this role include:
  • Order, collect, review, analyze and assess commercial real estate due diligence
  • Provide risk reviews of the commercial real estate properties that secure Wells Fargo commercial loans
  • Advise on the full breadth of commercial real estate subject matter
  • Coordinate the closing of commercial real estate loans with a focus on credit and collateral quality
  • Provide expert guidance on commercial real estate construction loans. Additionally, fully monitor commercial real
  • estate construction draws and progress
  • Perform lease reviews and cash flow analyses alongside the appraisal assumptions of commercial real estate
  • Provide commercial real estate related advice and training to multiple lines of business

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Salary range is determined by the location of the job.

Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of commercial real estate experience
  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: account relationship management, credit analysis, credit underwriting management, or risk experience demonstrated through work or military experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
Other Desired Qualifications
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
  • Risk Management-ability to identify potential risks
  • Ability to learn and solve problems independently
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access and SharePoint
  • Highly organized and proactive with an ability to manage multiple work streams
  • Excellent communication skills; able to interact with business partners, peers and senior management
  • Dedicated and self-driven
