Job description

We are looking for an outstanding business partner to assist in gathering requirements and use case documentation to support our stakeholders to enable the best business intelligence support that meets the needs and delivers the desired business objectives. This position bridges the gap between business stakeholders and the Business Intelligence team to support development and delivery of world-class data and analytics solutions.

With more than 1,400 dental offices supported across 38 states, over 10,000 team members and over 2,300 supported doctors in our support, Heartland Dental has a proven track record of growth and success. We're looking for professional individuals who are open, positive, and mentally flexible to join our network of support.

To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work on a team with the Customer Success Manager and our Doctor Compensation Support Director and Team, reporting to the Senior Director, xP&A Customer Success. You will also directly collaborate with our broader Business Intelligence and Development Team.


Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Develops and maintains a supportive relationship with leaders for assigned initiatives and understands business strategies and how business intelligence and data can enable those strategies
  • Acts as an advisor and liaison to the business stakeholder to help them document their business problem, objective and the process that will support the information
  • Understands how current reporting is used within the business function to enable solution development that achieves business operations and outcomes
  • Engages appropriate resources to partner with business function to document requirements, use cases, and an operational plan for institutionalization
  • Maintains knowledge of multiple business functions and initiatives to identify where conflicts or synergies exist
  • In partnership with business leaders, maintains roadmap for additional enhancements or expanded functionality
  • Partners and supports business leaders to create idea documents and use case information
  • Helps to prioritize business unit demand requests and issues to balance with available capacity
  • Assists in the development of metrics used to track value delivery
  • In all interactions with business, gathers voice of customer feedback for continuous improvement with a focus to identify gaps in services and/or capabilities that would improve performance in support of the business strategy
  • Highly developed communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) with ability and comfort to work with all levels of the organization, including executive level leaders
  • Negotiating conflict and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes; ability to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit, as well as with leadership and functional teams
  • Lead and energize change using positive and collaborative methods
  • Lead requirements workshops
  • Understand and integrate business strategies to deliver value
  • Accepts ownership and keeps commitments


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant field
  • 5 years of experience in project management, change management, or a business function with experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects
  • Analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
