Job description

You could be the one who changes everything for our 25 million members as a Business Analyst Intern on our Network Development & Provider Experience Team.

The Network Development & Provider Experience Undergraduate intern will support Centene's enterprise strategy for developing and maintaining our provider networks. The provider network is a critical component to ensuring that our members have access to high quality, cost effective care, enabling our mission of Transforming the Community, One Person at a Time. This internship will work across Network functions, with corporate Shared Service partners, and with our local health plans to assess business organizations and best practices to identify, propose, and implement concepts to improve business performance, health outcomes, or member/provider experiences.

Role/Responsibility:

• Support business initiatives through customer partnerships, data analysis, and developing/implementing concepts for business improvements

• Identify and analyze business requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing processes

• Perform detailed analysis on assigned projects, recommend potential business solutions and assist with implementation

Position Purpose:

• Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities
• Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects
• Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry
• Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies

Qualifications:

Skills - Solid excel, communication and critical thinking with the ability to take data and tell a story.

Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.

Experience/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.
