About This Position
Responsible for providing administrative support to the purchasing warehouse department. Assist in a variety of clerical functions. This will allow additional time for agents to implement cost saving strategies for the company.
Purchasing Coordinator
- Warranty maintenance
- Additions, removals, verification
- Review invoices and warranty renewals from parent company
- Warranty registration of individual devices ordered
- Request warranty renewals/extensions as needed
- Run reports to see what devices have expiring warranties and send notifications
- Request warranty quotes from vendors
- Send quote for region approval, send approved quote for purchase
- Asset Tracking/asset entry
- Update tracking in each request ticket on all drop ship orders
- Update customer assets
- Record all serial numbers
- Assist/back up for receiving department
- Check in/scan equipment as it is received
- Add it to the appropriate staging or stock room area
- Update billing system when items arrives
- Mark items as delivered before so PO's can be paid
- Request update from vendor when items haven't arrived yet
- Assist with pulling orders as needed
- Assist with organizing products/shelves as needed
- Assist with purchasing as needed
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-6 months related experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Strong administrative, data entry and reporting skills
- Must be thorough and detail oriented
- Good organizational skills
- Strong mathematical skills
- Computer skills; experience with MS Office preferred
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize assignments
- Ability to troubleshoot problems
- Maintain vendor relations
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) Company or Facility background check and drug screening
