About the role:
We are currently seeking a Senior Manager Talent Acquisition to join our global HR team, based in our St. Louis Headquarters.
Reporting to the VP HR Operations, this role provides leadership to the global talent acquisition team (2 direct reports) and develops strategy and processes to enable effective recruiting and onboarding for Peabody's operations and offices located in the United States, Australia and China.
A key focus is on establishing standardized, automated and fair programs and processes that positively strengthen the organizations capabilities in attracting, assessing, selecting and onboarding which enables Peabody to acquire a "best in class workforce"
Duties will include:
* Management of internal and external resources to deliver on business objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner
* Tracking, analysis and reporting of key metrics
* Contribute to workforce planning, anticipating future hiring needs
* Talent pipelining to meet predicted hiring needs and market mapping of key leadership and statutory positions
* Ensure system utilization and legislative compliance
* Provide support to Peabody stakeholders to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies
* Provide expert advice, recommendations and training to hiring managers on a range of recruitment matters including best practice attraction and selection, compliance to EEO/OFCCP, diversity and inclusion
* Build relationships with colleges, employment agencies, search firms, business and community service agencies
* Promote a culture of inclusion and diversity within the talent acquisition strategy
* Manage global mobility including visa, relocation and repatriation
* Design and delivery of graduate and vacation student acquisition strategies
* Continuous improvement of recruitment policy, tools and processes to reduce time to fill, increase quality of hire and improve candidate and hiring manager experience
* Participate with stakeholders on branding initiatives
* Keep abreast of talent acquisition trends, best practices and new technology
The lifestyle:
This position is a full-time role, working from our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO. Peabody offers flexible work policies, including hybrid office/home working arrangements and opportunity to finish at noon on Fridays.
About you:
* Minimum of 7 years experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager or similar HR role
* Prior experience within mining industry is advantageous
* Bachelors degree in Business Administration, HR or a related field required; Masters degree preferred
* PHR. SPHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred
* In depth knowledge of full cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques
* Experience with HRIS, ATS, sourcing and marketing tools
* Knowledge of country, federal, state and local laws governing employment policies and practices
* Proficient in the use of social media and job boards
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have an ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks, high problem solving and analytical abilities along with a commitment to high levels of customer service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail is also pertinent
Physical Requirements:
* Must have the ability to perform office related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
* Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
* Must be able to use a computer
* Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
