WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Material Planner is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, procuring necessary inventory to maintain levels, receiving materials into the warehouse, maintaining accurate and safe storage of inventory, properly issuing materials to internal/external customers, shipping materials using various methods, processing related records, reports, documents and files.

* Monitor (ERP) system for materials requiring ordering, contacting suppliers for quotes and preparing Purchase Requisitions to maintain stock levels appropriately.
* Review receiving documents for accuracy and completeness prior to accepting receipt of order from carrier
* Receive materials into inventory by recording receipt in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and physically placing into proper warehouse location. Forward receiving documents appropriately or receive the inventory into the ERP system
* Process production orders within the (ERP) system to maintain stock levels
* Process outgoing materials by recording in ERP system and delivering to internal/external customers
* Assist in conducting physical inventory
* Maintain clean, orderly, and safe warehouse and storage facilities
* Report of all safety problems or concerns
* Experience in Shipping of materials (Fed Ex, XPO, etc.,) and equipment to other service centers, job sites, etc. domestic and globally.
* Prepare and maintain accurate and timely materials control records as required
* Resolve routine receipt, storage, and issuing problems with assistance from Manager
* Perform other duties as required to support the procurement and materials control process and management needs
* Work to control inventory levels, cycle time, machine loads, and other aspects as required to meet production schedules
* Work with Materials Manager to analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease site inventory and reduce total costs
* Other duties and assignments as requested by Manager

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Material Planning capacity)
* Minimum 1 additional year of experience in utilizing planning systems
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities
* Prior experience in ERP systems
* Prior experience in production control or planning, supervision, sourcing or material control environment
* Ability to work effectively in all environments
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
