Barnes-Jewish Hospital is a teaching hospital staffed by more than 1,500 Washington University Physicians, the clinical practice for the Washington University School of medicine. The academic medicine partnership has developed many treatments and procedures that are now common across the globe.
Role Purpose
Develops the health services research program. Facilitates and independently conducts academic/clinical research, supports research utilization in nursing/clinical practice and develops an ongoing strategic plan for academic/clinical research.
Responsibilities
- Develops academic programs of nursing research funding and research utilization.
- Develops clinical programs of nursing research funding and research utilization.
- Identifies potential research topics and participates in cross-departmental research studies.
- Collaborates with nursing personnel to determine research methodology whereby outcomes relative to delivery systems can be measured and evaluated.
- Presents original research and evidence based practice at regional and national conferences with poster or podium presentations and submits for publication in peer-review journals.
Minimum Requirements
- Doctorate- Nursing/ Healthcare or related
- 5-10 years experience
- Certificate/License in Area of Expertise
