Job description

SUMMARY:

Recruits, interviews and refers candidates to department directors for existing and future openings and promotes career opportunities within the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

* Manages the recruitment and employment process for all positions; including

* Interviewing candidates and making hiring decisions.

* Develops recruitment plan for open positions using a variety of methods, i.e., newspaper advertising, internet, television, radio, high school and college campuses visits, job fairs, etc.

* Coordinates interviews with department directors or interview teams.

* Manages the career ladder program.

* Career counseling

* Checks references

* Extends employment offers with direction from Director of Human Resources.

* Creates recruitment literature and brochures

* Keeps the job posting current.

* Maintain appropriate recordkeeping documents.

* Coordinates new employee paperwork and PEPs.

* Responds to all inquiries regarding employment opportunities.

* Corresponds with applicants regarding employment opportunities and or filling of positions.

* Responds to all inquiries regarding the CNA class; interviews and selects for the class.

* Places qualified CNA students in employment after they have successfully completed the CNA course

* Works cooperatively with the CNA instructor in developing the schedule

* Attends job fairs

* Assists with the development and revisions of position descriptions.

* Keeps current and past files on applicants

* Manages the EEOC Report.

* Produces turnover, retention and vacancy reports

* Assists with preparing and maintaining employment records.

* Completes Annual Salary Surveys

* Produces Monthly, Quarterly and Annual CNA Class Reports

* Application Tracking for both employee and CNA class applicants.

* Conducts Exit Interviews

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Requirements: 3-5 years experience in the Human Resource field. Bachelors Degree in related field preferred. Knowledge of employment law. Possess PHR certification or complete within one year of employment.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

* Ability to coordinate and organize

* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

* Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports

* Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

* Ability to manage detail.

* Highly computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information

* Ability to establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers
