Job Summary

Prepares and processes standard journal entries, assists with processing daily bank deposits, reconciles various bank statements with general ledger system, assists with monthly financial close, assists in preparation of annual capital and operating budgets, and ad hoc analysis.

Essential Job Functions

* Prepares and processes standard journal entries under supervision of Financial Analyst II.
* Prepares vouchers to draw down funds for New Brunswick Construction Project.
* Maintains all internal records relating to New Brunswick Construction Projects and maintain all FAS records pertaining to the same.
* Reconciles various bank statements with General Ledger. Together with Financial Analyst II, prepares and processes journal entries on a monthly basis to reflect corrections, additions, or deletions identified.
* Works with Financial Analyst II to assist with monthly financial close.
* Serves as primary backup to Finance Assistant for processing bank deposits and petty cash requests.
* Assists in preparation of annual capital and operation budgets.
* Ad hoc analyses as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.

Formal Education and Job-Related Experience*

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
* 1-2 years experience in related field and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Ten or more years of directly related experience in a job with ".similar responsibilities" is acceptable in lieu of the degree from an AICPA certified accounting program.
* Effective 1/1/2021: High School/GED diploma required or Must obtain High School/ GED within 6 months of being hired.
