Job description
Eaton's Vehicle Division is currently seeking a Human Resources Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Kearney, NE facility.
Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the HR Manager in the development, implementation and administration of HR programs and initiatives to support business objectives and maintain positive employee relations. Additionally, facilitates recruitment, employee development, affirmative action, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
This role includes the coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all employees; assessing plant-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives; identifying and arranging suitable training solutions for employees; actively searching, creatively designing and implementing effective methods to educate and enhance employee performance.

In this role, you will:
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations pertaining to Affirmative Action Plan, EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.
- Engage and/or lead in the management of the compensation and benefits process which includes salary administration, proposal of merit adjustments, researching and analyzing wage and benefit survey data.
- Maintain open channels of communication, "open door" policy, and positive employee relations.
- Facilitate and participate in the recruitment, selection, and retention of employees.
- Coach and mentor front-line leaders regarding positive employee relations, employee performance management and development, and career opportunities.
- Assist HR Manager with EBE assessments and other business assessments and audits, as applicable.
- Facilitate and support deployment of annual survey, survey action planning process and related activities.
- Consult with the HR Manager and Staff on performance management, organizational, and leadership matters.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager in the deployment and execution of organization development activities including talent management to ensure the growth of bench strength through career development and advancement opportunities.
- Facilitate and ensure proper deployment and completion of performance management systems throughout the facility.
- Co-chair leader for the Diversity Council to foster an environment of inclusion through monthly reporting, an annual review of the Diversity Assessment, monthly campaigns aligned with the plant's needs and organization objectives.
- Champion team to promote and support wellness initiatives in the facility.
- Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws / regulations as it relates to HR management and business trends.
- Assist HR team members with human resource data integrity as needed.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited institution
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in human resources
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or organizational development
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive human resource experience preferably in a manufacturing facility
- Master's degree in Business or Human Resources Management
- PHR/SPHR Certification

- Health and Safety - Champions and actively participates in the following environmental health and safety initiatives: MESH, ISO14001, VPP and other safety / environmental programs established for the facility for a safe work environment. Ensures that all direct reports are trained in the applicable environmental, health and safety practices.
- Quality - Champions and actively participates in the following quality initiatives / programs: Eaton Quality System (EQS), TS16949, and etc.
- Plant Performance - Collaborates in the development and execution of facility profit plan objectives and balanced scorecards.
