To learn more, visit PCG is seeking a Business Analyst to work in our Nashville, TN office as part of a growing team dedicated to providing superior service to school districts through education management systems and consulting services. This position focuses on customer service by responding to client inquiries and questions, as well as anticipating current and future client needs. Using information provided by school districts and government agencies, a Business Analyst analyzes information and conveys potential issues and solutions to PCG software developers to improve existing technology applications. The ideal candidate for this position will be adaptable, flexible, enthusiastic, and able to manage multiple tasks or clients simultaneously in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment. This position requires creative problem-solving abilities and a consultancy mindset. Responsibilities + Serve as key contact for on-going communications with clients + Serve as first response to prospective client inquiries + Write technical specifications + Interface with developers and multiple levels of stakeholders + Test functionality of newly released applications + Produce deliverables including meeting agendas, data analysis and status reports + Prepare materials for training seminars and sales presentations + Present at conferences/seminars + Train system users on web-based applications and system updates + Work with database management systems to organize, process, analyze, and store data + Develop an understanding of state and federal education/special education requirements + Assist customers in building and submitting required state and federal reports + Comply with, and help to enforce, standard policies and procedures + Assist proposal teams with writing content, coordinating efforts, and preparing submissions + Prepare client contracts and ensure project legal documents are completed and signed + Communicate with team and clients to secure contracts in a timely manner + Develop project plans based on scope of work conveyed in contracts + Revise project plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements + Capture and share knowledge accrued and lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle + Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions + Serve as an internal consultant to other projects or product lines + Communicate regularly about client projects with the project team + Keep team apprised of changes within the organization and general corporate news + Aid in managing complex projects and/or producing sophisticated deliverables Qualifications Required Skills: + Excellent organizational, oral presentation and written communication skills + Ability to facilitate productive meetings with clients and the project team + Ability to generate clear and concise technical documentation and project summaries + Excellent ability to build and maintain new and existing business relationships + Ability to provide prompt and accurate service; commitment to exceptional client service + Ability to recognize issues and identify solutions + Ability to follow, critically evaluate, and improve upon current processes + Research skills + Project management capabilities + Ability to manage multiple tasks or clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment + Proficiency in MS Office products, including PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Word + Proficiency manipulating databases for data analysis + Ability to learn and manage complex web-based technology applications + Strong analytical and financial skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data + Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets with accurate results + Ability to move projects forward within specific timeline and budget while working at a detailed level Required Experience: + Bachelor's Degree Desired Experience: + 1-2 plus years of relevant work experience in the fields of education, health care, government, or the consulting field preferred, but not required + Project management experience + Prior experience working with systems engineers or application developers + Proficiency with Microsoft Access and SAP business objects #LI-DM1 EEO Statement Public Consulting Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to celebrating diversity and intentionally creating a culture of inclusion.
