Job description

Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.Aseeks a Human Resources Intern for our Consumer Products manufacturing facility in Lincoln, NE. The Human Resources Intern will be exposed to daily HR functions in a large manufacturing plant. This position will be paid through our contract agency, Advance Services Inc. Hours will be part-time during the school year (10 hours/week minimum) and full-time during the summer.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Intern:

  • Communicate effectively with people ranging from production workers to executive managers

  • Have a general understanding of HR related law

  • Assist with projects related to benefits administration and employee relations

  • Work in a fast-paced work environment

  • Follow all company rules regarding professionalism and confidentiality

  • Compile, sort and file records of office activities while maintaining confidentiality and retention requirements for each type of record

  • Maintain inventory and database systems such as: corporate logo wear inventories, contingent workforce databases, employee records databases, etc.

  • Create, format, proofread, edit and distribute correspondence, such as, business letters, job descriptions, policies, company event announcements, etc.

  • Assist with the administration of the company's uniform program


Qualifications for the Human Resources Intern:

  • Must have High School diploma or successfully obtained a GED

  • Experience in Human Resources and/or Customer Service

  • Must be able to display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications, such as, Excel
