POSITION SUMMARY
The Treasury Accountant I is responsible for a wide range of Accounting and Financial skills; accurate and timely preparation of monthly and annual journal entries, reports and projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Compile monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Prepare weekly liquidity report
  • Prepare annual valuation of homes and vehicles for property insurance and taxes
  • Prepare Security Litigations
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly cash reconciliation reports and monitor operating cash balances. This includes daily deposits and initiating wire transfers
  • Prepare stock transfer instructions and obtain necessary signatures and backup.
  • Prepare the Effective Federal & States Tax Rate Schedule annually
  • Assist senior tax accountant and/or tax manager with tax audits, controversy and correspondence as needed
  • Assist senior tax accountant and/or tax manager with preparation of tax workpapers and returns for individuals, trusts, foundations and partnerships.
  • Review purchase invoices and prepare checks for payment. Research and resolve discrepancies. Post invoices and expenses in general ledger.
  • Research weekly grant check requests from private foundation against IRS website to ensure funds are being issued to public charities and are for a qualified charitable purpose.
  • Scan and upload files into document management system (i.e., monthly brokerage statements, cash disbursement invoices, tax returns, etc.)
  • Review monthly and quarterly custody and management fee invoices and submit for payment.
  • Develop, maintain and use standard operating procedures and work instructions for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly processes
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments
  • Ability to work and interact with others
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance
Experience: 0-3 years of accounting experience
