Are you an experienced Accounting Clerk, ready to take your career to the next level? Our client is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team immediately in a temp to hire opportunity!

Our client works in the construction industry and is well-established throughout the Midwest. They are based in Omaha and work out of an impressive, easily accessible office. The Accounting Specialist will work in-office. Here are the main responsibilities of the role:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Compile and sort documents including invoices, bills, purchase orders, etc.
  • Verify and post details of business transactions
  • Audit invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies and approve payments
  • Investigate bill payment issues
  • Document charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, etc.
  • Prepare vouchers, invoices, reports, and other records as needed
  • Reconcile report discrepancies
  • Code data and input into processing systems
  • Review, balance, and interpret computer reports, making corrections as needed
  • Assist employees, vendors, clients, and customers as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Associates degree OR 6 months to 1 year related experience, required
  • Must have an understanding of accounting/database software, inventory software, and spreadsheet software
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with a team
