Millard Public Schools is searching for a hard-working, reliable Production Lead for Central Middle School to assist with leading staff in preparing and serving meals for students and staff, ensuring a clean and healthy kitchen and lunchroom. This is a 10-month position; kitchen employees work the same days as students, Monday through Friday, with the same vacations and holidays. This location provides meal services to the Boys & Girls Club, so shift hours for this position may vary. Prior kitchen leadership experience and flexibility/adaptability are essential in this role!

  1. Performs assigned duties associated with the preparation of meals. Cooks and bakes the food, prepare individual portions, and performs other food preparation duties as assigned.(45%)
  1. Cleans equipment used, including utensils, dishes, mixers, and machines. Performs general cleaning duties in the kitchen. (25%)
  1. Performs miscellaneous food service duties as assigned, including acting as a cashier for lunch (secondary only), putting machines together, counting money, ordering and putting away supplies, and securing food in containers for shipment to other school kitchens. (20%)
  1. Serves prepared food to students. (10%)
  1. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  1. Able to interact with students, building staff, and supervisors in a positive manner.
Qualifications:
  1. Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  1. Certification or Licensure:

  1. Other requirements:

* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students, and others. * Ability and willingness to follow instructions work in all areas of foodservice and maintain a positive attitude toward the foodservice program.
* Ability to report to work on time and notify the manager at the earliest possible time when unable to work.
Required upon hire to take Food Handlers Class within 30 days of employment.
