Job description

As a member of the Gift Services team, the Gift Accounting Specialist is responsible for developing and managing several gift accounting process and procedures, including but not limited to tax receipting, pledge reminders, non-cash gift receiving, and matching gifts. They execute ongoing audits and testing of gift transactions and data integrations and will play an essential role in a CRM database conversion and various RPA projects. They must use knowledge of relational database concepts, CRM system requirements, and referential integrity to maintain accurate and timely gift accounting in adherence with University and CASE policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business administration, (gift) accounting, database management, fundraising operations, or related field required.

2 years'+ experience working with a CRM, particularly related to data entry (both manual and data importing) or similar experience. Experience with Ellucian's Advance Web a plus.

Experience working with large data sets and database management, including quality assurance and data integrity.

Experience with database conversions preferred

  • Knowledge of gift accounting rules and CASE regulations. Proficient in MS Office applications - Word and Excel specifically.

  • Resourceful, critical thinker who uses sound judgement and problem solves.

  • Ability to maintain confidential information related to nature of work.

  • Ability to learn new technology quickly.

  • Ability to work with minimal guidance to identify appropriate applications of a wide variety of policies/procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize information and priorities.

Working knowledge of fundraising and stewardship is preferred.
