JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting our investment portfolio management team in the development of our investment strategy, the execution of our strategy in client accounts, and maintaining the information and processes necessary for the successful completion of these functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Investment and Portfolio Research and Reporting (20%)

• Participates in the development of investment strategies based on management's philosophy and objectives, including analysis of and build out of new product lines, operational capabilities and reporting structures.

• Conducts periodic review of risk measures, attribution analysis, on various types of portfolios, such as groupings of indices. Provides interpretations in a report for Investment Committee following manager review.

• Performs quarterly research on and review of new investments in companies, including financials, industry and prospects. Documents and presents findings to Investment team, and Investment Committee, if selected.

Client Portfolio Management (20%)

• Manages less complex client portfolios, including knowledge of past performance, current situation and future needs, with Investment Officer oversight.

• Works closely with Trust Officers to manage the investments of trust accounts.

• Attends periodic client meetings, with oversight from Investment Officer, reviewing investment portfolios and progress toward financial goals.

• Performs financial planning overview utilizing the financial planning software for clients as requested.

Operations and Administrative Support (20%)

• Monitors Minimum Distribution and processes for IRA accounts.

• Processes Ops memos for changes to existing accounts, and monitors for accuracy.

• Processes account distributions and contributions, and monitors for accuracy.

• Prepares meeting packets, writes minutes and distributes for Administrative Committee as appropriate.

• Processes new and closed account paperwork, and monitors for accuracy.

• Supports Trust Officers and other administrative assistants.

Maintenance of Performance Measurement System (15%)

• Acts as lead analyst for the department's performance reporting.

• Extracts, scrubs and reviews the data feed between accounting and third -party systems. Resolves data-related inaccuracies with third party vendor.

• Prepares accurate and timely monthly performance and risk reports for Investment team.

Marketing of Investment Solutions and Services (15%)

• Deepens relationships with existing clients in order to expand their business.

• Markets wealth management capabilities to prospective new clients that were referred to department.

• Develops new prospects through participation in various community organizations.

Investment Department Support (10%)

• Provides primary clerical support for Reg. 9 review scheduling and tracking.

• Updates daily bond worksheets.

• Prepares meeting packets, writes minutes and distributes for Investment Committee as appropriate.

Performs other duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge and fundamental understanding of fiduciary wealth management

• Proficient understanding of financial markets, asset classes, security attributes, and fund operations

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects independently, and handle interruptions efficiently.

• Ability to communicate professionally and a willingness to work with others.

• Ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential and non-routine information with a high work ethic and integrity.

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software, including a high level of facility at data manipulation.

• Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and multi-task.

• Detail oriented, flexible, organized, self-starter and team-player.

• Ability to complete required training by assigned due date.

• Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.

EDUCATION*

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field required

• Ability to obtain CFA designation required within 6 years

EXPERIENCE*

• Minimum of 1-2 years of prior investment or wealth management experience required

*Equivalent education and experience will be considered

The employee frequently is required to walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment with normal office working conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
