Description

Due to growth in our business, we are looking for an individual to lead a production line in the packaging of food, drug, dietary supplement, and cosmetic products. Duties may include operating light filling and packaging equipment, and preparing products for shipment. Documentation of work and routine quality checks also are necessary. Our facility is a clean, climate controlled environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct, train, and supervise line associates/temporary workers in a positive manner.
• Maintain current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ensures compliance of other line associates.
• Perform specific tasks efficiently and accurately as requested by the Production Supervisor before, during and after production.
• Assist Production Supervisor with enforcing safe work practices.
• Responsible for Quality Checks.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

DUTIES AND TASKS

• Check that all items necessary for packaging are in area.
• Checks that materials are released and area has been cleared of previous packaging materials.
• Check machines prior to start.
• Monitor operation for complying instructions.
• Oversee corrections and bring to management attention
• Assure proper imprinting of lot and expiration date.
• Observe personnel for proper attire and function; instruct line personnel on changes necessary for proper operation.
• Check product during and after operation to assure proper packaging.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
• Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances
• Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods as established by the plant supervisor in positive manner.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Maintain operations data such as time of production.
• Observe work and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
• Cleans equipment including sweeping and cleaning floors or walls.
• Dumps materials into machine hopper prior to filling.
• Loads and unloads processing equipment or conveyance used to receive raw materials or to ship finished products.
• Counts, codes, or makes boxes for production.
• Observes operation and notifies equipment operator/maintenance of malfunctions.
• Places or positions equipment or partially assembled product for further processing, manually, or using hoist.
• Read gauges and charts and records data.
• Removes product, machine attachments, and waste material from machine.
• Signals coworkers to facilitate moving product, during processing.
• Tends to equipment to facilitate process.
• Palletizing finished goods for shipment.
• Maintains Good Housekeeping Practices.
• Follows all safety guidelines and teach line associate safety standards.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate must posess a High School education, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and experience in production. Experience in a sanitary environment is a plus.
