Job description

Business: Boys Town National Research Hospital
Job Summary: This role will perform basic proofreading, editing, copying, grammar review, and documenting of work, as assigned, to support a professional team member or department.
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 5-10 hours/week (hybrid on site/work from home role)
Responsibilities:

• Provides basic proofreading and editing support to the assigned department/team member.
• Partners with the assigned team member/s to review, read, proofread, and make edits to written documentation to ensure professionalism and clear communication principals.
• Depending on the need, may work with team members on documenting research processes, findings, and support material.
• Will be responsible for keeping materials confidential as required.
• Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and promote awareness and moral principles of the Mission, Vision, & Values of Boys Town.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an ideal candidate is at least a current junior or senior taking college/university level courses
• 1+ years of relevant work-related experience required (e.g. student newspaper, writing tutor, administrative, clerical, etc.).
• Excellent writing and grammar skills
• High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of PC software applications with an advanced ability to utilize Windows-based programs and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Ability to type accurately and proficiently at a high rate of speed
