Business: Boys Town National Research Hospital
Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Director of Clinical Laboratory Services and Lead Transport Courier, provides pick-up and delivery service for various departments and sites. Maintains appropriate logs and records and performs various routine clerical functions as directed. Operates vans or other motor vehicles as necessary.
Schedule: Varied Casual Shifts- Requires flexibility
Responsibilities:

• Transport/delivers supplies, mail, human specimens, instrumentation, and printed materials to/from various locations ensuring proper care of items handled during transport.
• Prepares and maintains accurate transportation logs, vehicle fuel consumption logs, and other data as required.
• Operates vehicles in compliance with all FFBH policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal motor vehicle regulations, laws, and ordinances.
• Communicates need for or arranges for both scheduled and nonscheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment or devices to prevent injuries or exposures related to the transport of human specimens, heavy objects or other materials of trade.
• Remains informed of process changes or unplanned transport needs through written, verbal and electronic forms of communication.
• Other Duties: This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position. However, other duties may be required and assigned at times and as determined by a supervisor to meet the needs of the organization.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) Check
• Previous Courier Experience Preferred but not Required
• Maintain Excellent Customer Service
