Job description
LIQUOR CLERK
SUMMARY
Performs a variety of functions within the Liquor Store or Department; Including stocking shelves, rotating inventory and assisting customers as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure that customer service 10' rule policy is enforced throughout the department and
store. - Receives and ensures proper storage of deliveries.
- Ensures appropriate levels of inventory for product lines are maintained and ordered as necessary.
- Cleaning & Maintenance of work area including sweeping and stock replenishment.
- Serves retail liquor customers by greeting the; making sure they found all the items they sought; asking whether there is other help or services they need.
- Checks-out, verify legal age by checking ID, entering price; scanning prices of marked items.
- Handles customer complaints
- Collects revenues by receiving cash; making change; checking account debit transfers; verifying credit; completing credit transactions; obtaining customers' signatures.
- Maintains quality results by following and enforcing standards.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing alcohol handling standards; adhering to check-out procedures; complying with sanitation and legal regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be at least 21+ years old and able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of liquor products, CustomerService, Safety Management, Dependability, Attention to detail, teamwork, Multitasking,Proactive, and has quality focus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. - Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables insituations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
