What would you do in this role?
As Clinical Coordinator, Cardiac Echo, you would assist in the coordination and supervision of Echocardiography Ultrasound Services, while participating in the development, orientation, and training programs for Cardiac Sonographer Staff.
- You will provide guidance and training for technical processes and procedures as well as quality control for echo related procedures .
- Responsible for ordering supplies with oversight by Department Director.
- You would perform accurate analysis of all cardiac anatomy and assimilates appropriate data necessary for interpretation of the study Work pro-actively with other departments to facilitate scheduling and performance of testing and other patient care activities.
- Assist the physician as needed during procedures and monitors physiological parameters during procedures.
- Dysrhythmia recognition.
- You would maintain lab equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
- Compile weekly and monthly activity reports.
- Preceptor for new hires, as well as assess competency and evaluate performance.
- Assist in annual performance review of technicians/staff within the dept.
- Graduate of an accredited Associates degree program in Cardiac Ultrasound or a Bachelor's degree in Allied Health.
- Preferred - Graduate of an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Cardiac ultrasound.
- Required - 3 - 5years' experience in Cardiovascular Ultrasound, Adult Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through the ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer through CCI.
- Preferred - 5 - 7 years' experience in Cardiovascular Ultrasound and three to five years of clinical coordinator/lead sonographer experience.
- Basic Life Support Certification; preferred ACLS.
