Job description
Appcast is currently seeking an Events Marketing Manager to join our growing Marketing team and support our ongoing strategic marketing programs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience driving lead generation through various B2B in-person events. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing deliverables and logistics for both third-party conferences, trade shows, as well as Appcast's own executive roundtables and roadshows. You'll be extremely hands-on, working directly with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful events from start to finish. You'll play a critical role in generating new business for our sales team and continuing to grow the Appcast brand.
This new position will report to Appcast's Director of Marketing and will work closely with an awesome team of marketing professionals in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Together with Marketing leadership, develop Appcast's annual event calendar, which maps out Appcast's involvement in events including participation in 3rd party conferences, trade shows, industry events, executive roundtables, and roadshows
- Plan and manage all aspects of Appcast involvement in 10+ events in the fiscal year across different industries and sectors utilizing industry best practices
- Coordinate with conference vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful event sponsorship; work with Marketing and Sales leadership to design booths that balance impact with budget guardrails; coordinate with Appcast staff who will be attending events to ensure logistics and details are understood
- Project manage all aspects of Appcast's executive roundtables and roadshows, working across teams to ensure plans are established and tracked to completion for content creation, registrant recruitment and retention, and attendee follow-up
- Support the planning and execution of customer events in collaboration with our Customer Marketing Manager
- Support events with ATS & CRM partners in collaboration with our internal Partnerships team
- Collaborate with Demand Generation team members to execute email nurturing programs that converts event prospects into qualified leads for sales
- Conduct regular reporting and analysis to measure channel, media and vendor performance
- Track budgets, expenses, KPIs, and ROI for the comprehensive event portfolio
- Explore new event opportunities and experiment with creative solutions for increasing conference and event ROI
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience planning or managing B2B events - ideally across size and scope, i.e. from large trade shows to private client dinners - as part of a high-performing Marketing team
- Proven experience managing onsite event logistics with a keen eye for the details ensuring the best experience possible for attendees
- Extremely high level of organization, attention to detail, and project management skills, with a proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects of varying complexities simultaneously
- High level of positive energy, drive, enthusiasm, and commitment; must be a self-starter and enjoy working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Possess the ability to learn, adapt, and process new information quickly
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across internal teams, prospects, customers, and seniority levels; strong writing skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with Sales, our Strategy team, and the rest of the Marketing team
- Willingness to travel - not weekly or even monthly, but occasionally to attend some of our most significant events and to visit our other offices (Lebanon, NH and Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada)
