Overview
Our Recruiter has the unique opportunity to help us with the critical role of staffing the organization. This position will partner with Northern Region managers (ME, NH, VT) to help spearhead the acquisition of talent in a multi-location environment within a semi-centralized hiring model. This experienced professional is responsible for identifying, attracting, interviewing and selecting top-notch employees at every level of Milton CAT's branch operations. The Recruiter will be an integrated business partner and an internal and external champion of Milton CAT's employment brand and vision. Milton CAT has the flexibility to hire at the Senior Recruiter level if candidate experience is significant.
Note: This position can be based out of Londonderry, NH or Scarborough, ME.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all hiring managers in assigned region; understand their business and get to know the positive elements, as well as challenges, that make up the unique characteristics of each market you support (e.g. proximity of competitors, customer industry mix, nearby schools, etc)
- Screen, interview and assess candidates for union, non-union, hourly and salaried positions
- Coordinate with hiring managers to anticipate staffing needs, changes or future expansion and develop appropriate recruiting strategy and timelines
- Work within the established recruitment process framework, but with a high degree of flexibility to manage and "own" your recruitment efforts
- Develop strategies for sourcing and referring both active and passive qualified candidates in assigned Region; share ideas with entire Recruiting team to continually elevate and improve the recruiting function. Get creative to build talent communities that are motivated to join the successful Milton CAT team.
- Engage with local community groups and schools to build a positive employment brand, create a pipeline of talent, and stay current on local market trends. Represent Milton CAT at various recruitment related events and be a positive brand ambassador
- Assist with coaching/training of hiring managers on successful techniques for interviewing and assessing high potential candidates
- Leverage existing technology to maximize effectiveness and data-driven decisions; stay current on new HR/Recruitment related technology, social media sites, trends and best practices.
- Recruit for diversity. Use and share best practices learned to attract, hire, and retain a diverse workforce.
- Actively partner with the Recruiting and HR teams on company-wide programs, policies and projects related to candidate, HR or hiring manger aspects of the recruiting lifecycle. Engaged in developing, defining and executing the annual recruiting strategy and plan.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 3-5+ years of high-touch full cycle recruiting experience
- Experience sourcing and interviewing for hourly and salaried positions
- High-proficiency in all best-of-breed recruiting platforms: Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, Glassdoor, and prior use of a Recruiting/ATS/CRM software preferred
- Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including familiarity with OFCCP requirements
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word & Excel, and very comfortable with office technology in general (email, internet, social media, automation)
- Must be a strong verbal and written communicator with a natural "customer service" approach and excellent follow through
- Ability to stay organized while managing multiple responsibilities required; high degree of self-discipline
- Familiarity with Milton CAT, a competitor or heavy equipment industry in general is preferable, not required
- ** Ability to travel within assigned region for in-person interviews, meetings with hiring managers or career events. Occasional travel to Milford, MA corporate office. ** Note - These travel requirements will apply once COVID-19 restrictions are eased. Recruiters are currently working primarily remote/virtual.
