Job description
BAE Systems is looking for a Process Engineer I to provide technical operations support for the wire bonding processes in a fast paced manufacturing environment in support of the build of amplifiers across multiple product lines. This opportunity is factory facing with high visibility, where data driven approaches are applied to implement improvements and increase yield.
Responsibilities include: assisting in the development, sustainment, and improvement of processes via both automated and manual machinery throughout the wire bonding work cell.
Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, supporting factory-wide initiatives as well as day to day execution of production goals.
As hardware designs advance and production needs evolve, as a Process Engineer, you are asked to drive continuous improvement goals of reducing defects and HPU (Hours per unit) through the wire bonding operations. This role has a unique opportunity of being on the ground level of leading standardization and improvement efforts across multiple product lines and a wide variety of programs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or in a related Technical degree, having graduated within the last year or will graduate within the next year
Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and demonstrate leadership necessary to support the manufacturing team
Ability to present and clearly communicate data to peers, management, and customers.
Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and in a team
Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Secret clearance preferred, not required
Lean knowledge (single piece vs batch processing) preferred
Six Sigma training or projects preferred
