A bit about us:

Our client is interested in hiring a Licensed Civil Engineer or Managing Partner. They require a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a licensed Civil Engineer.
They require that the all candidates have a current license and are willing to obtain a NH/ME license as part of the hiring package.

Providing professional design services that balance the needs of its clients with the requirements of public permitting agencies at a reasonable cost and in a timely fashion. The Civil Engineer Managing Partner is responsible for understanding, administering, and managing all in-house phases of Ambit Engineering projects. This includes, but is not limited to, design, calculations, drafting, coordination, quality control, and scheduling the work required to submit projects on time within budgets. Client contact and meeting attendance will be required.

The Civil Engineer Managing Partner is responsible for assisting the project team to reach common goals, both general and project specific. The Civil Engineer Managing Partner must be a skilled self-starter with decision making skills and able to thrive in a fast-paced, small company environment, in a service industry with consistent deadlines. An ability to collaborate with employees to develop a team approach to workflow is essential.

*Managing Partner Option is Negotiable* If a candidate is interested in a future Managing Partner position they will be able to discuss this with the President in the interview process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare engineering documents for various land development projects.
  • Work with Survey Manager to effectively design and meet project goals.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with project team members including Land Surveyor, Consultants, and Wetland Scientist in the completion of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Carlson CE, HydroCAD, and other appurtenant software to design and effectively communicate technical information for inter-company needs, as well as regulatory and design purposes.
  • Attendance and professional representation of projects to various land use boards such as planning boards, zoning boards, and conservation commissions.
  • Professional and courteous communication with clients, interested parties, and government officials regarding all aspects of development projects.
  • Obtain Maine PE Civil Engineer License
  • Maintain NH and other states license(s) as a Civil Engineer.
  • Participate in continued education (company paid upon approval)
  • Perform other tasks and projects as requested.
