Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior level Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, this dynamic individual will be responsible for taking a lead mentor role while ensuring transactions and accounting, analytical, and reporting assignments are completed accurately and timely. The position will also closely interact with other departments. Additional responsibilities include the following:

  • Train and develops accounts receivable clerks and review work for accuracy.
  • Develops, processes, and/or validates accounting and business transactional activities as assigned or required to meet objectives.
  • Reconciles sub-ledgers to General Ledger.
  • Manages lockbox cash application, live checks, resolve lockbox exception items, unprocessed lockbox checks, electronic payments.
  • Manage cash exception item resolution and accurate and timely application of all cash receipts. Initiate any required AR adjustments. Responsible for and manages the collections process, credit requests, and all other associated responsibilities.
  • Ensures that internal control procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintains well-organized files containing applicable office records relating to accounting and business transactions.
  • Responds to service requests or requirements in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
  • Exercises judgment in resolving customer issues. Reviews completeness of documents received from operations and/or other departments, as required.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • The actual duties required of this position will vary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS diploma or GED with 5 years related accounting experience; or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field with 3 years related experience
  • One-year experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Infinium systems (preferred)
  • Basic AS/400 skills (preferred)
