Nitto, Inc., Lakewood, NJ location is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team.


Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for carrying out policies and programs relating to all phases of human resource activities. This role primarily supports the manufacturing division at this location in areas of recruiting, onboarding, orientation, training and employee relations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as the Company's liaison between employee and management helping to facilitate positive employee relations with employees working in production related positions.
  • Assist in employee internal investigations, providing recommendation and solutions.
  • Performs searches for qualified candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking Internet recruiting sources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms or employee referrals; primarily focused on manufacturing, warehouse and maintenance hourly employees.
  • Interviews and processes employment applications and acts as liaison between the company and the applicant throughout the entire recruitment and hiring process for the manufacturing hourly work force assuring that all pre hire requirements are satisfied.
  • Conducts initial new hire orientation including HR required paperwork, company tour, benefits overview, etc.; Coordinates additional orientations as required to maximize the on boarding experience.
  • Provides training on a variety of topics related to corporate culture, HR compliance, and employee benefits.
  • Using the Company's tracking systems, records, updates and maintains personnel related files such as employee's personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, staffing, recruitment, training, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, leaves of absence and termination.
  • Updates and maintains the company's payroll system and corresponding HRIS. Creates required (daily, weekly, monthly) reports and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Provides backup support for payroll processing.
  • Facilitates the Uniform, safety shoe and safety glass program for new hires and coordinates the annual replenishment/replacement program.
  • Plans and coordinate employee events.
  • Assures compliance with Federal and State postings and EEO/AA documentation.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by manager.
  • All other duties assigned by Nitto's management.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HS or GED required: Associates or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in human resources related function; preferably in a Generalist role.
  • Knowledge of ADP or SuccessFactors a plus.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently to solve problems and make decisions using sound judgement.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365; Intermediate excel a plus.
  • Ability to handle issues which require diplomacy, tact and confidentiality.
