Job description

Duties:
As the VP- Treasury Management Sales Officer you will be responsible for the consultative sale of treasury management products and services to both commercial banking and business banking clients. The Treasury Management Sales Officer will conduct needs-based conversations to align integrated technology solutions to acquire new-to-bank relationships and deepening existing client relationships. Prepares written analysis/proposals to promote value of services in a fee-based environment. Works directly with business line partners in an assigned territory to position Treasury Management Services for maximum efficiency and utilization. Expected to train, coach and mentor less experienced members of the treasury management team. May be called upon to act on immediate issues in the absence of direct supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Actively participate in client/prospect calls with business development, commercial lending, and branch officers to source new Treasury Management Service opportunities.

Actively promote the sale of Treasury Management Services by preparing proposals and conducting presentations for new to bank opportunities and for existing commercial and business banking clients.

Prepare appropriate implementation documents to client/prospect for purposes of fulfilling a request for maintenance or new sales opportunities.

Ability to communicate features and functionality of treasury management product solutions while negotiating favorable pricing terms in pursuit of profitability relationships.

Establish billing for implemented services and monitoring billing and account analysis requests.

Diagnose and resolve routine client issues and escalate when appropriate for resolution while engaging business partners and communicating with clients, management and/or Relationship Manager.

Responsible for obtaining approval for risk-based solutions including ACH Origination and Remote Deposit Capture

Cultivates opportunities for increasing deployment of new Commercial Card Programs while promoting ongoing usage with approved clients for increased revenue realization.

Accountable for accuracy of sales tracking, within Lakeland's CRM database or other systems (including Referrals, Pipeline, Call Reports, and Pricing).

Manage activities to exceed established performance-based metrics.

Cultivate networking and COIs relationships to independently acquire new Treasury Management clients

Seek opportunities to lead and contribute to organizational initiatives outside immediate are of responsibilities.

Deliver thought leadership to the market as a subject matter expert by participating in industry webinars, roundtables, conferences, etc.

Enhances organization-wide knowledge of Treasury Management Services for expanded product engagement by hosting informational seminars and workshops.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in areas such as accounting, marketing, business management or finance.

7+ years of demonstrated experience in direct sale of treasury management solutions in the Financial Services industry

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong business acumen and excellent relationship management skills across all levels.

Ability to travel throughout assigned territory regularly in support of sales efforts.

Must be bondable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

CTP or CCM Certification
