YOUR ROLE The Product Development Chemist is an early-career level position in which you will learn about and be an important part of the product development process for Henkel's water based and food packaging coating products. Responsible forevaluating and approving raw materials for both cost savings and supply security programs Engagement with and guidance for suppliers in the selection and qualification of raw materials. Participate with cross-functional internal team responsible for managing and executing portfolio of raw material activities. Product Development ownership for lab qualifications and approvals of alternative materials. Presentation of lab results and recommendations in project meetings with both internal colleagues and suppliers. Primary contact for quality and manufacturing organization to ensure continued and improved manufacturing efficiency and quality for current product range. Provide disposition for both raw materials and finished products. Responsible for documentation and processing of all changes for both raw materials and finished goods within established Henkel systems.

YOUR SKILLS Bachelors Degree (in chemistry, polymer science, or relevant discipline) is required. Prior, relevant, lab experience in an academic, internship or industrial setting is required. Prior knowledge of adhesive technology and formulating is a benefit, but not required. Experience using SAP is nice to have, but not required. Ability to multi-task, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong team working spirit and proven ability to collaborate with others. Henkel is an equal opportunity employer.
