Base + Bonus + Long Term Incentive Plan - Total Package $400,000 - $450,000

The Vice President, Tax and Treasury is a critical role within the Finance organization, directly supporting the Senior Vice President, Finance. This role is responsible for the oversight, supervision, and leadership of our global tax compliance and reporting, treasury management, and risk management functions within the Company. In this role, the individual will need strong analytical skills, a strong Finance background, as well as excellent communication skills as this role will require the individual to work cross functionally with members of the Finance and Accounting teams as well as other internal departments and outside service providers.
Key Accountabilities:
Treasury and Risk Management
· Oversee the company cash forecasting model and to ensure accurate short and long term projections, monitoring of daily receipts, disbursements and borrowing to produce daily cash balance, and oversight of full-cycle wire transfer process
· Ensure all banking systems used in the daily operations are functional and accurate and ensure timely resolution of external bank issues and reconciliation problems resulting in suspension of funds
· Build and maintain bank relationships
· Develop targets and lead the corporate initiative, in partnership with Corporate FP&A, to maximize return on invested capital through improving the cash conversion cycle and ensuring company resources are enhancing shareholder returns Oversee process improvements and monitor policies and procedures for compliance, ensuring documentation is in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
· Manage relationships with insurance brokerages, third party administrators, and finance leadership to manage global insurance and risk management programs for the company including property and casualty, health and safety, worker's compensation, cyber, and executive risk programs through analysis of internal information, meetings with business leaders, and negotiations with insurance vendors
· Oversee annual negotiations for the various programs, including insurance policy premiums and terms and conditions, evaluate self-insurance programs, and prepare the necessary internal and external support, and cost/benefit and compliance analysis for these programs
· Oversee claims/risk management process for all property, casualty, worker's compensation, and general liability claims, maintenance of claims/case files
· Oversee hedging documentation and accounting
Tax
· Primarily responsible for the Company's global tax compliance and strategy, including working with the relevant business teams, legal department, and outside advisors to assist in developing strategy and overseeing compliance.
· Lead, supervise and transform the tax accounting and reporting processes, ensuring documentation and related systems are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements.
· Provide assistance with tax accounting and reporting requirements for major corporate transactions and initiatives
· Lead the development and implementation of tax planning strategies and provide technical assistance on various tax issues
· Manage state and local transactional tax audits and inquiries by governmental authorities
· Oversee all aspects of sales/use and occupancy tax, personal property, and annual business licenses, including the filing process.
· Identify and implement process improvements and monitor policies and procedures for compliance
· Work with financial planning team to forecast taxes, and impacts of potential business activities
· Oversee that monthly tax rate changes for our POS, including maintenance of tax holidays, are integrated with business and compliance processes
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CTP, CPA, CFA or MBA is a plus
· 15 + years of experience in a Treasury, Tax, or Financial Planning role with a retail organization
· Public Accounting experience is a plus
· Experience managing a global team
· Strong knowledge of GAAP, as well as international exposure required
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, expert in Excel with modeling and efficient spreadsheet usage
