Job description

Purchasing Coordinator near Freehold, NJ

Temp to hire

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange with other departments to ensure production scheduling, production planning, SAP MRP, inventory and purchasing activities.
  • Purchase order requisitions as needed in SAP
  • Gather information on safety stocks in SAP to make sure MRP gives accurate ordering data
  • Sends out New Supplier Set up forms to new vendors and completes setup
  • Analyze and report purchasing/inventory/usage data as needed from SAP
  • Review MRP daily for purchase releases to meet production schedule
  • Maintain new vendor files for ISO procedures.
  • Assist purchasing manager with duties/projects

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in purchasing, production scheduling, production planning, inventory.
  • Associate's degree or technical school (2 years' experience)
  • Experience with MS office, and excel.
  • SAP and ERP knowledge
  • Must pay attention to details
  • Strong, multitasking and organization skills
