Guy Carpenter is seeking a candidate for the Business Systems Analyst role for our Hoboken, NJ or Philadelphia, PA office.

The Business Systems Analyst is part of the Client Support Services Digitalization (CSSD) team responsible for testing, training and roll out of systems used by Client Support Services (CSS). This role requires you to be team player, working collaboratively with various departments within Guy Carpenter. We will count on you to:
- Perform required User Acceptance Testing across various systems (processing, document management, workflow) in support of upgrades and code fixes
- Provide support to processing teams by analyzing system issues and take action to correct whether through training or raising issues to IT teams for further action
- Provide support for requirement gathering efforts around system functionality changes
- Update training materials (videos, documents, how-to guides) related to any system or workflow changes implemented
- Identify opportunities for improvement in workflow, systems, or reporting
- Procure appropriate data to research issues and support conclusions regarding scope and impact of issues or system/workflow changes
- Identify, manage and escalate issues and risks as appropriate
- Participate in Disaster Recovery testing as required
- Host training sessions (virtual and in-person) to demonstrate changes in system functionality to end users
- Participate in other operational initiatives as needed
What you need to have:
- 3+ years of experience in insurance/reinsurance technical processing
- Proficient with MS Office products including Excel pivot tables and vLookup functionality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external communications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to comprehend technical terminology and concepts
- Ability to work in an agile environment and switch focus as needed
- Ability to make sound judgments, with guidance as required, while knowing when to bring situations to the attention of Management.
