JOB OVERVIEW

This position is for a temporary employee who will be working in the Emerging Technologies Group and operate several laboratory test reactors for evaluation and quality control of catalysts and adsorbents. The testing involves operating equipment, completing control runs, analyzing and plotting data, and interpreting the test results to provide feedback to the supervisor and other team members.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to work individually on reactors using flammable and/or toxic gases safely following SOPs. Always follow company guidelines to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while running experiment.
• Proficient in mechanical hands-on skills. Responsible for routine maintenance of equipment as well as trouble shooting to minimize equipment downtime. Responsible for maintaining excellent work condition on all equipment's in catalyst testing lab.
• Actively work to maintain high data quality for catalyst testing lab. Check data reports regularly to screen for abnormality and problem. Either resolve problems through established troubleshooting techniques or work with other team members and supervisor to resolve the issue.
• Communicate effectively with other team members about problems and progress. This position requires to be a team player.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to tabulate and / or plot results and Powerpoint for reporting to the supervisor and preparing presentations.
• Act as back up for other test lab functions as needed.

Contract length: 6 months

Salary: $28.00 per hour

• Chemistry: 1 year (Preferred)

• testing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Laboratory experience: 1 year (Preferred)
