Business Overview:
The CIB Marketing & Communications Americas team oversees the brand and communication strategy of BNP Paribas Group, CIB and its constituent businesses in the Americas, in collaboration with the Bank of the West, and the Group communications teams. The functions of this group today include Events & Sponsorships, Media Relations, Content, Digital and Social Media, Philanthropic Initiatives, Client Creative Services and Video Services. The team is also responsible for the Operational Marketing requirements of CIB in the region.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Vice President of Digital and Social Media will support the Marketing & Communications team in overseeing Digital Communication Channels, Social Media, including managing the e-reputation of the Group in the Region, and Advertising activities, reporting to the Director of Digital and Social Media. The objective of the role is to proactively develop and leverage the brand and content across various external digital and social channels, leverage internal communications to enhance employee engagement, grow our network of spokespeople as well as the channels and platforms on which they engage, produce measureable and reportable results that will inform long-term strategy, and utilize creative resources to enhance our brand reputation and market penetration.
The successful candidate will work closely with the content, marketing, and events teams within Marketing & Communication as well as with stakeholders across our business lines, legal and compliance, and human resources. This job requires an excellent understanding of and enthusiasm for social media and its potential, exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and comfortably engage with senior leadership, and a willingness to experiment and grow.
This position is located at our Jersey City office.
Responsibilities:
- Implement end-to-end social media, communications and marketing initiatives for target audiences, ensuring key message delivery, audience engagement, and positive brand affinity, ensuring communications are cohesive and in line with brand voice and tone.
- Plan engaging content with a strong brand voice on social media channels, staying current on what's trending online within the guidelines of the Group and develop new campaigns that can be adopted across regions.
- Manage internal social spokesperson program, identifying, onboarding, and training new spokespeople, surfacing relevant content opportunities, producing monthly progress reports, and working with 3rd-party vendors where necessary to create relevant content for senior leadership.
- Support advertising efforts across paid social, 3rd-party programmatic, and targeted event-based through extensive testing, optimization, and reporting; work with external agencies and internal creative to develop and deploy assets and measure success.
- Educate and empower employees on social media usage and regulations through trainings, guest speakers, and weekly features in the Marketing & Communications emails.
- Create and manage social media content calendar for all digital media channels and align with cross-regional campaigns and initiatives.
- Maintain an up-to-date and easily navigable library of advertising material; digitize advertising request process; work with the Creative Services Team to ensure that requests adhere to brand standards and that conferences, charity dinners, and other events know how to secure relevant advertising collateral.
- Contribute with creative ideas on how to leverage social media and digital marketing to help achieve business and communications objectives.
- Report on social media and digital performance within the company by determining key performance indicators that can be used to measure success.
- Monitor and report key metric of BNP Paribas Americas' social and digital reputation and maintain crisis management structure and response.
- Oversight for external social and digital vendor services including negotiating prices, overseeing, and evaluating their services.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 3 plus years of experience in Social Media and Digital Advertising
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or other related field of study or commensurate work experience.
- Sophisticated understanding of LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and emerging social platforms.
- Facility with social content management, reporting, and advocacy tools.
- Strong project management skills across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Effective teamwork, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Excellent analytic skills and data collection skills.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

- Experience with influencer management, both internal and external, including crafting content, managing publication calendars, reporting on results.
