Role: VP - Business Analyst - Equity & Derivatives
Description Job Background/Context:
The Equities Risk Technology Team supports the Equities Front Office Risk Management systems globally, covering intra-day and overnight risk and PNL management, as well as trade capture and the full lifecycle of derivatives products. In line with business expansion plans, and to close the gap to competition, the organisation is undertaking long term programme of platform review and redevelopment. The ability to solve challenging business problems and manage projects effectively and efficiently in a complex technical environment is vital to the success of the overall strategy.
Job Purpose:
This is a high visibility position to drive the initiation and execution of the global Equity Derivatives trade capture and lifecycle book of work. The successful candidate will partner with technology and business organizations to deliver initiatives that facilitate business growth, improve controls, and automate trade capture and lifecycle flows.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver in depth business analysis, focused on accuracy and detail, covering all aspects of:
Problem definition Requirements gathering Use case capture & documentation Process & workflow documentation & re-engineering Data analysis Test case definition & testing co-ordination across multiple areas, products and regions in conjunction with QA counterparts. Project management including, but not limited to status reporting, milestone, risk and issue management
The following are also essential:
Clear, concise and accurate communication at all stages of a project Adherence to internal Citi BA/PM & SDLC standards Provision of assistance to Equity IT to facilitate delivery & issue resolution in a timely manner

Knowledge/Experience:
5+ years working as a BA in Finance Technology Strong analytical background particularly in relation to data analysis Extensive knowledge of derivative products, preferably Equities Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle from inception to maturity Previous experience in of the full project lifecycle Experience working with globally distributed development teams Proven delivery track of complex global projects Basic knowledge of data modelling Ability to navigate a database and use SQL to extract data Knowledge of XML is desirable but not essential Formal project management Good working knowledge of Excel, Visio, JIRA & Confluence

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance and/or Technology Courses/advanced degree in Finance would be a plus Project management qualification beneficial but not essential
