Job Title: Desktop Support Analyst

Location: New Jersey (Onsite day 1)

Duration: 3 months with the possibility to extend

Start Date: ASAP

Please Note: This is a 40 hours per week (8am - 5pm) opportunity. The role will be 100% on-site in the BBH New Jersey Office. Candidate of choice will need to complete attestation to being fully vaccinated - please do not submit candidates who are not local and not vaccinated. The role is slated for 3 months with extension potential. Manager does not need an engineer - seeking a self-thinker who can provide basic tech support primarily phone support. Assist with machine build-outs and deployment. Selected candidate will not be expected to be in the office solo - other team members will be working along-side. Candidate may occasionally be asked to support the BBH NYC office or provide some weekend support in the event of a large deployment. Please note, these are rare instances and plenty of notice would be given - however, candidates with flexibility would be appreciated.

The Desktop Support Analyst (DSA) is responsible for Infrastructure Systems related projects in their assigned business line(s). The DSA seeks to understand the internal client's business as well as their technology requirements. Duties include analysis of business requirements, assisting with business support cases, as well as coordinator for systems related implementations.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

Technical

  • Monitor business unit technology needs by knowing the department and BBH strategic direction.
  • Acts as liaison between Systems technical staff and end users during trouble-shooting.
  • Analyze processing methods and identify solutions through assessment of various system alternatives.
  • Identify technology opportunities that will affect specific BBH business area strategy and performance.

User Support/Project Management

  • Work with clients to manage and prioritize technical projects.
  • Manage moves, adds, changes of software and hardware for all BBH equipment, including equipment used on desktops, in test labs and training rooms.
  • Advise Desktop Support Technicians and Help Desk staff in trouble-shooting systems and equipment problems, identifying causes and recommending solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years experience supporting PC hardware, op systems, software.
  • Related Financial Services business background (a plus, but not required).
  • Knowledge of several operating systems.
  • Familiarity with LAN environments, Windows and GUI-based design.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use standard desktop tools effectively, including Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Client service skills.
