Job description
Leading alternative small business financing company is seeking an IT Support professional to join our technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leader in small business financing. This position will be responsible for providing support to end users and to assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure to include hardware, software, and networking and cloud-based technologies. We are located in the Newport Center building in Jersey City, with easy access to Path train, light rail and parking. Hybrid remote/in office schedule.
What You Will Do
● You will provide technical support to onsite and remote end-users following industry best practices.
● You will be responsible for onboarding & offboarding end-users with appropriate permissions across the various on-prem & SaaS applications in our tech stack.
● You will provide administrative services for servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, telephones, smartphones, application deployment and security updates.
● You will answer questions and resolve computer problems for end users in person, or via telephone, email and chat.
● You will deploy computers and peripherals (i.e. computers, monitors, printers, etc.); Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, hardware, peripherals or appropriate software;
● You will create and maintain detailed documentation for the department (instruction guides, policies, procedures);
● You may write training manuals for both old and new systems
● You will respond to requests via a ticketing system and update tickets as appropriate; communicate status to direct manager; Monitor and follow up on all requests from submission to resolution
● You will collaborate with internal team members (onshore/offshore) and end-users for the end-to-end resolution of issues.
● You will install and perform repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
● You may be required to perform other tasks and duties reasonably related to job responsibilities.
● You may be required to come into the office from time to time when resolution of issues are not possible through remote means.
Who You Are
● You have a bachelor's or equivalent combination of education, 3 -5 years related experience and/or related certifications in lieu of a degree along with:
● You have experience with setting up, configuring & troubleshooting PC Hardware & Chrome OS Devices.
● You have experience with Microsoft Windows 10;
● You have experience with Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Word and Excel);
● You are familiar with Chrome OS, Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 and Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
● You have experience with administrating cloud-based SaaS applications like Google Workspace, O365, Slack etc....
● You have an understanding of TCP/IP Networking.
● You have experience using helpdesk ticketing systems;
● You have experience installing, maintaining and deploying Printers/Scanners;
● You have experience with Internet Browsers such as Edge, Firefox, and Chrome.
● You care about the security of our systems and can foster a culture of enabling users and encouraging compliance with policies
● You are skilled at multitasking; you are able to coordinate, organize, prioritize and execute responsibilities in the face of conflicting priorities and unexpected situations;
● You have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills;
