The role will involve focused research exercises in specific technological/business areas, intelligence gathering, providing inputs and researched raw data for white papers, blogs and presentations, developing standards and guidelines (tech selection decision trees, tech stack matrices etc.), managing and orchestrating area-specific logistics and forums (PPM processes, meetings, townhalls) etc. Another key focus area for this role will be developing new and/or light-weight subsets of existing DTCC processes that allow TRI projects to be launched, onboarded and executed at a fast pace while still meeting the necessary compliance and regulatory requirements. A strong understanding and experience of existing DTCC processes related to project lifecycle and compliance (e.g. signs-offs from critical functions like TRM, ITA etc., Permit to Operate, Data Classification, BCM etc.) will be a strong plus.
The candidate might also lead the execution and delivery of innovative technology projects, including research and process innovation, for the TRI group. There is a strong individual-contributor aspect to this role requiring subject matter expertise and the ability to independently conduct exercises related to research, analysis and process optimization.
The work environment will be fast-paced with aggressive targets and timelines, involving lean team structures and delivery-oriented approach with very clear and visible definitions of success and failure. Given the nature of this domain, the role will provide excellent learning opportunities on some of the latest technologies disrupting the business and technological landscapes. The ability to swiftly ramp up on new technologies and turn around those learnings into fast-paced delivery will be key to being successful in this role.
Your Primary Responsibilities:-

Lead, coordinate, or participate in assignments related to research, intelligence gathering, market studies and process optimization.
Produce content for external consumption, including industry white papers and presentations, by conducting research, leveraging own knowledge, and interviewing SMEs across DTCC to synthesize information into key points.
Execute aspects of software pilots and prototypes in partnership with resources from across functional areas within DTCC and external vendors.
Support requirements gathering, drafting of functional/non-functional specifications, workflows, etc.; participate in reviews of business requirements, client onboarding, etc.
Assist in assessing new opportunities and business cases, creating project estimates etc.
Conduct fast-paced vendor assessments including technology due diligence, tech evaluations, assessment of vendor-offered services, tools and platforms, attend presentations and demos, etc.
Vendor management tasks including vendor onboarding, assessment of RFPs, SOWs, and other contractual paperwork
As needed, conduct, support or participate in internal education drives including townhalls, strategy sessions, videos, blogs, public showcases etc.
Stay consistently abreast with emerging technology and business landscape, keeping a keen eye on new opportunities and disruptions.
Produce content for internal-facing newsletters, blogs and articles as required
Conduct in-depth research of selected business/technological areas and topics to produce reports and data matrices on a short notice with aggressive timelines
Function as a project manager / scrum master to create project plans, manage day-to-day logistics ensuring on-target progress, help the team navigate internal processes, remove roadblocks, manage PPM processes, and ensure clear and crisp communication to all internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Recommend and provide inputs on the choice of appropriate technology stacks, review and assess architecture and software design, work with appropriate internal groups (ITA, TRM, SE etc.) to ensure compliance to standards, provide technical inputs, aid troubleshooting efforts etc.
Develop, formalize and implement processes and ecosystems within TRI that enable rapid prototype development, fast vendor onboarding and speedy compliance/control checks
Support process logistics related to day-to-day functioning of the area
Contribute to managing and coordinating functional and project budgets
Mitigate risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior

Talents Needed For Success:

Very strong and effective communication skills required written, verbal and presentation. Ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience
5+ years of experience in the technology industry, preferably related to software development, research or architecture
1+ years of experience in or in-depth knowledge of Fintech technologies (Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics) is a strong plus
Experience in the financial services industry is highly preferred
Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Scrum Master is a strong plus
Strong technical foundation with an ability to grasp and ramp up on new technologies at a fast pace is a must-have
Bachelor's degree required
Delivery-focused, result-oriented leadership style
Strong stakeholder management and partnering skills
Experience managing vendors to procure staffing, licenses, tools and other consulting services
Experience managing small program budgets

Highly preferred Specialized Skills
Fintech technologies, especially in the data analytic space, and Cloud technologies (AWS preferably)
Knowledge of Financial Services industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
