Sales Associate

Job Summary: The Sales Associate will work directly with the CEO to grow the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate and pursue new opportunities the result in new orders.
  • Learn how to use systems such as Beta.Sam.gov, DIBBS and Govgistics to search and evaluate new defense manufacturing opportunities
  • Update and present marketing materials to existing customers and new prospects.
  • Provide business intelligence to the CEO to establish pricing models and negotiate contracts
  • Process customer RFQs. Evaluate customer RFQs for completeness, provide RFQ packages to the internal quoting department and serve as the liaison between the internal quoting team and the customer to address technical questions.
  • Serve as the liaison between customers and internal production operations, providing timely and accurate updates regarding the status of orders.
  • Utilize Salesforce to capture, organize and update sales leads and opportunities.
  • Maintain an account dashboard to provide the CEO with concise & accurate information regarding orders & sales pursuits by assigned account.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and new prospects

Qualifications:

  • A self-starter with a passion for pursuing new opportunities and growing sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or economics preferred
  • Previous work experience in sales and manufacturing environments
  • Basic understanding of metal manufacturing processes (sheet-metal and machining)
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Knowledge or familiarity with MRP/ERP systems such as E2/ShopTech
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • General familiarity with blue prints & engineering principles
